The conditions were completly different in 2001 and 2014.
2001 : one hour ITT, the day after a tough mountain stage (3 climbs including l'Alpe d'Huez, 6 hours stage)
2014 : 200km and 5 hours mountain stage.
Of course no drafting during the ITT, unlike the beginning of Chamrousse 2014 climb.
We'll publish soon a study of the wind condition during 2014 stage.

Frédéric Portoleau, our "Watts expert" is doing all the power calculations. He started his times and watts measurements in 1988. The details of his work are available here.
